애드혹 네트워크 [ Ad-hoc network ]

노드(node)들에 의해 자율적으로 구성되는 기반 구조가 없는 네트워크. 네트워크의 구성 및 유지를 위해 기지국이나 액세스 포인트와 같은 기반 네트워크 장치를 필요로 하지 않는다. 애드혹(Ad-hoc) 노드들은 무선 인터페이스를 사용하여 서로 통신하고, 멀티 홉 라우팅 기능에 의해 무선 인터페이스가 가지는 통신 거리상의 제약을 극복하며, 노드들의 이동이 자유롭기 때문에 네트워크 토폴로지가 동적으로 변화되는 특징이 있다. 애드혹 네트워크는 완전 독립형이 될 수도 있고, 인터넷 게이트웨이를 거쳐 인터넷과 같은 기반 네트워크와 연동될 수도 있다. 응용 분야로는 긴급 구조, 긴급 회의, 전쟁터에서의 군사 네트워크 등이 있다. →이동 애드혹 네트워크 ;

Did legendary giants exist actually?

Archeologists from the Smithsonian Museum in the United States have uncovered the remains of a man who is 2.7 to 3 meters tall in the Kurdistan region of southeastern Turkey, in 1976. People say the man was a member of the Nephilim, the offspring of the "sons of God" and the "daughters of men" in Genesis 6:4, or giants who inhabit Canaan. In 1950, the remains of several giants were discovered near the Euphrates River in Turkey. The femur measures 1.2 meters in length. Based on this, scholars said the giant is presumed to have been about 5 meters tall. In addition, the remains of giants with red hair were retrieved in the Amazon region in 1970. The giants were seen slightly bent and running. This reminds us of the legend of Paiutes. In 1911, mummies of giants with red hair, who are 2-3 meters tall, were found in a cave in Nevada, the U.S., by miners. There have been numerous witnesses who said they have discovered traces left by giants in Europe, the Americas, Asia and other parts of the world. In 1850, the remains of a large number of giants who were more than 2 meters tall were found in the U.S.’s Midwest. Some of them have six fingers or six toes. In 2004, the remains of a 3.1-meter-tall giant were recovered in the Phi Phi Islands, Thailand, after the islands were hit by a tsunami. A year later, two tombs of giants were found in Syria. The tombs measure 10 meters in length. Reports on the remains of giants that have been recovered so far support historical records on them are based on facts. Those who support the reports say they believe that giants existed on the planet and that the scope of their activities was wide-ranging. But some scholars remain skeptical about the source and truth about the remains recovered. First of all, no clear academic verification of the remains found has been made. Work to recover the remains of giants and research activities were suspended for religious feuds and other reasons. jckim@koreatimes.co.kr
